Aldridge Village Business Partnership
Working in partnership with the people of Aldridge
Aldridge Village Business Partnership works alongside Walsall Council's District Centre Management Team and local businesses, community groups and public sector organisations with the common aim of improving the prosperity and vitality of Aldridge town centre.
The partnership is active in five key areas:
Partnership development and business support:
developing the partnership to enable it to deliver and support a range of projects to improve the vitality and viability of Aldridge.
establishing and maintaining a high quality, attractive environment for all who shop, work, visit or live in the village centre.
establishing a safe and secure town centre environment for all who use it, and for all the business and property owners within it.
Events and Marketing:
marketing and promoting the village centre to shoppers, visitors and potential investors, developing a shared positive image.
improving the business mix and regeneration in the village centre by encouraging greater development and investment.
Becoming a member:
Membership is open to anyone who supports the aims and objectives of the partnership, in particular businesses in the village centre, landlords and local community organisations. Representatives of Walsall Council, West Midlands Police and West Midlands Fire Service are also actively engaged with the partnership.

Aldridge Village Business Partnership is engaged in a number of ongoing high profile projects:
Heart of England in Bloom: Aldridge is now a part of the Heart of England in Bloom competition and was proud to receive a silver-gilt award in 2011. The Aldridge in Bloom campaign also received the Subaru Heart of England in Bloom Community Achievement Award which celebrated the number of organisations and individuals who helped across the year in a whole range of activities. The partnership and its members are involved in a range of environmental initiatives including new gateway signs, tree and bulb planting projects, improvements to Aldridge Shopping Centre, the provision of summer planters and litter picks and clean-ups.
Special Events Programme:
the partnership organises several special events including speciality markets and Christmas festivities to increase awareness, footfall and spend in the village centre.
Aldridge Village Loyalty Card:
this scheme was launched in August 2011 and encourages local people to support their local shops. In it s first month, over 500 shoppers signed up and the scheme will continue to grow over the coming year. The card entitles local people to a range of discounts and special offers at participating shops and businesses and rewards Aldridge’s loyal customers.
Aldridge Village Shopping & Business Guide:
this is regularly updated and distributed to local homes and through local outlets and events. It highlights the excellent range of shops and services available in Aldridge Village Centre.
